Masters of Science in Information Systems – Big Data Management and Analytics


Thank you for looking at my e-portfolio. I am a Graduate Student at J.Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Information Systems, with Big Data Management and Analytics as my concentration. I am currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department of Georgia State University.

As a Graduate Research Assistant I have shouldered the below responsibilities:

  • Developed unsupervised machine learning algorithm to identify users opinion
  • Performed sentimental analysis on the customer review determining various emotions
  • Designed utilities in Python for web scraping live forums and online retailers and cleaning the scraped data
  • Developing data models to manage the scraped data in a database with more than 250 GB of data files
  • Performed data analysis using calculated weighted average for reviews collected from the online sites

My expertise lies in data warehousing, I have worked for two and a half years at Capgemini India Pvt Ltd where I was part of the Nordea Bank Sweden project, I was responsible for developing and maintaining their data warehouse and for performing the below tasks:

  • Identified user requirements, assess available technologies, and provided solutions to complex problems
  • Designed, developed, and implemented technical solutions helping integrate solutions back to relevant business processes
  • Fully grasped the business and technical possibilities to navigate complex issues and process optimization
  • Derived business insights from imperfect and unstructured data
  • Possess SQL and programming knowledge to deal with data transformations and performance tuning techniques
  • Translated logical data models into physical database structures optimized for the Teradata DBMS
  • Participated in the review of ETL processes and made recommendations regarding DBMS load strategies
